Howdy!
My name is Tamar Cunningham I am currently in college studying Web Development at Eastern Iowa Community College, also known as EICC. When I am not working or doing schoolwork, which is mostly what I currently do, I can be found backpacking. My favorite trail to backpack is the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin. This trail is 1,200 miles long stretching in a u shape from St. Croix, WI to Potawatomi State Park in Sturgeon Bay, WI. If I am not our hiking or backpacking than I am probably tending to my flower garden, doing woodworking projects or practicing my photography skills.
Successes and School
In 2025 I was awarded the Phi Theta Kappa award. For me this was a big accomplishment as I work a full time job while studying full time. Getting this award meant I was getting good grades, something I never thought I could get. I always saw myself as an average student.
In the 2025 – 2026 school year both semester I landed on the deans list.
Coming to EICC I wanted to get my degree in Web Development as becoming a Full Stack Developer is something I am highly interested in. The reason I came back to school was because I am not enjoying my current job as a factory worker and I want a job that I can climb the ladder. One of the classes I needed to graduate this upcoming spring was Content Management Systems. I have set up this site to help me practice my website design and may use it in the future for my portfolio where future employers can come and see my projects.
For this class I would like to learn more advanced techniques of web site design. By the time I finished this class I would like to have a solid foundation in designing a solid website that will attach future employer’s attention.

I went on first solo road trip this spring to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and backpacked 25 miles over the course of four days.
One of my favorite cartoons is the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Leonardo is my favorite turtle because of his khatnas, which I inspire to make out of wood.
